RemObjects Promethium (Python)
Promethium brings familiar Python syntax to the Elements compiler and toolchain, across all its platforms.
Python source files use the standard .py extension and compile through the same shared code model and backends as the other Elements languages. This lets Python code call the native APIs of its target platform directly and produce the same kind of application or library as another Elements project.
Python in Elements is a compiled language implementation. It does not embed CPython, and it does not automatically provide the CPython standard library, virtual environments or packages from PyPI. Use the APIs and references available to the selected Elements target.

Naming
The language is presented as Python in the IDE and throughout most of this documentation. Promethium is the code name used where an Elements-specific implementation name is useful, such as compiler internals, project metadata or diagnostics.
